View all 8 comments. In these, Rardin’s additions to her cast of oddball characters included the criminal mastermind and vampire, Edward “The Raptor” Samos, who came to the fore in further sequels, Bitten to Death and One More Bite.

Their mission is thrown into chaos and their lives into danger when they arrive deagh find that their contact and the leader of the Trust is dead and the new leader has an agenda of her own. Although I don’t think this is the strongest book in the series I still think fans will enjoy it and I’m bitteen forward to reading the next book.

Jan 13, Angie Mind Malfunction rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: Where the first book had taken two years to write, the sequels — Another One Bites the Dust and Biting the Bullet — were completed within months and published in December and February respectively. Jaz sprays herself with doggie pheromones and the results are hilarious. Somebody who can really do action, because my books are pretty much fueled by adrenalin and PowerBars. Mom tells me almost every year what crappy weather it was that day.

I think that their hang ups about getting together or not getting together is starting to get in the way of how good the series could be.

Other books in the series. But Jaz’s dislike of Disa quickly turns into hatred when she learns of Disa and Vayl’s connection to each bitteen. I enjoyed this book, but I did have one complaint. Her narrative in Bitten to Death is spiked with lots of internal dialogue even more than usual.

I’ll have to say the thing I love most about this series is that while there bityen an overall story arc that leaves unfinished business from book to book, each individual book has its own issue ceath gets resolved.
